Immigration Bridge

Ceased to be an issue in 2010

The idea of an immigration bridge has now been replaced by Immigration Place

December 2006
The Australian government launched a proposal for an immigration bridge to span Lake Burley Griffin from Lennox Gardens (in Yarralumla) to the National Museum of Australia.

February 2009
A Senate Inquiry into the Immigration Bridge Australia Proposal was initiated in February 2009 (refer to the Joint Standing Committee on the National Capital and External Territories)

March 2009
The YRA made a submission to the Inquiry.
