The CSIRO/Forestry School site is located on Banks St and opposite a RZ1 (single residential) zone. The site currently has a land use policy of Community Facility, which allows for a range of health, cultural and community facilities. The National Capital Authority has received a request to vary the land use to allow residential, commercial accommodation and office accommodation. The plans indicate buildings ranging from two to five storeys.
A recent survey of all Yarralumla residents does not support the proposed development.
